Guided Algonquin Park Day Trip:
The Oxtongue lake store offers this one-day wilderness experience in Algonquin Park. Active people wanting an enjoyable day in the out-of-doors or a sample of what a longer canoe trip might be like will really enjoy this experience. All canoeing and safety equipment, lunch and transportation from our store to and from Algonquin Park are provided. Reservations are required.

Basic itinerary: Participants should arrive at our Oxtongue Lake base by 9 am. Once the group is assembled, the guide will review trip options and select a route suitable to the abilities and interests of the group. The group will travel by van into Algonquin Park. Please contact us for complete details.
Dates: We offer guided day trips Monday to Friday throughout the canoe season (May-Sept.), by advance reservation only. You do not need to book any permits or make any extra arrangements for canoe rentals. A minimum of four participants is required to run a trip. If your group numbers less than four, there are two options. If you are willing to pay the four-person rate, we will run a trip with fewer people. If your schedule is flexible, we can put you on a waiting list and try to book you in with another group wanting a trip in the same time period.
Cost: The cost is $49.98 per person, plus tax, for the first four people (there is a four person minimum charge). Once the four person minimum is reached, children under 15 would receive a 25% discount. This price includes lunch, guide services, canoe rental, transportation from Oxtongue Lake into the park and back and all related canoeing and safety equipment.
To reserve: We require a $25 per person deposit to book this trip. To reserve, send credit card information and indicate your first and second choices of trip dates on the reservation form. For bookings less than four weeks ahead, please call to check availability.
