1 Kawawaymog (Round) Lake At Ottawa Avenue in South River on Highway #11, turn east. Follow this road (Paved for 15km, then gravel) for 21.6km to the Access Point Office on the west shore of Kawawaymog Lake. Contact Us
2 Tim River Follow the signage from the town of Kearney to access the Tim River. Permits are available at the KearneyCommunity Centre. Contact Us
3 Magnetawan Lake Follow the signage from the town of Kearney to access Magnetewan Lake. Permits are available at the Kearney Community Centre. Contact Us
4 Rain Lake A popular access to the the western boundary of the park. The access point is located at the 25km from the town of Kearney. Information and permits are available at the Kearney community centre. Contact Us
5 Canoe Lake The busiest access point in Algonquin Park, Canoe Lake offers access to several well used routes. No camping is available on the lake itself, but permits are available there. Contact Us
6 Smoke Lake A busy, but popular access to many routes south of Hwy 60. Permits are available at Canoe Lake access. Contact Us
7 Source Lake From Hwy 60, turn North at Kilometre 20.1 from the West Gate. A short dirt road takes you from Hwy 60 to the access point at Source Lake, home of Camp Pathfinder. permits are available at Canoe Lake access. Contact Us
8 Cache Lake Located at Kilometre 23.5 on Hwy 60 the Cache Lake access point is home of the Bartlett Lodge. The Cache Lake put in is a great spot for Algonquin Park day canoe trips or longer canoe trips into the south interior of Algonquin Park. Permits are available at Canoe Lake access. Contact Us
9 Rock Lake Located off Hwy 60 at kilometre 40.3. Rock lake is a favourite day trip put-in. With an easy river paddle from the put-in to the open lake with huge rock cliffs This canoe trip route is a favourite with many day trippers. The Booth Rock hiking trail is also a popular spot for day hikes with a grand view. Historic Barclay Estate is a great spot for lunch on the hike. Permits are available at the access point. 10 Sunday Creek Located on Hwy 60 at Kilometre 42.5. This seldom used access point can lead to some of the more secluded experiences off of the park's corridor. Parking is available at the Spruce Bog Boardwalk Trailhead. Permits are available at the East Gate. Contact Us
11 Lake Opeongo Lake Opeongo is Algonquin Park's largest lake, one of it's best fishing spots and home of our Algonquin Outfitters, Opeongo Lake Store. Many outfitting and day rental services are available from Algonquin Outfitters at this location, including our Water Taxi Service, Hailstorm Wildlife Viewing day trip, and Opeongo Kayaking day trip.. 12 Pinetree Lake From Kilometre 49.9 on Hwy 60, Pinetree Lake put-in is accessed by portaging 1885m from the parking on the side of the highway. Permits are available at the East Gate. Contact Us
13 Galeairy Lake-Whitney Located off Ottawa Street in the town of Whitney, Ontario. Follow Post Street off of Hwy 60, about 5.5 Kilometres south of the East Gate of the park. Expect motor boat traffic on Galeairy Lake all the way to the dam leading into Rock Lake. Permits are available at the East Gate. Contact Us
15 Hollow River-Divinding Lake Access to the Dividing Lake Provincial Nature Reserve and Algonquin Park if sound here. From Hwy 35, 1.1 km north of the village of Dorset, turn east onto Livingstone Lake Road. Access point is near the Livingstone Lodge on Livingstone Lake, interior permits are available at the Tower Hill Marine on Hwy 35. Contact Us
15 Kingscote Lake Located at the end of Kingscote Road, this access point is one of the most under used in Algonquin. Permits are available at Pine Grove Point Lodge, located directly accross from Kingscote Road. Contact Us
16 Hay Lake A great way to access the seldom used panhandle section of the park, Hay Lake offers a less travelled environment. Permits are available at the East Gate of Algonquin. Contact Us
17 Shall Lake Accessed from the town of Madawaska via Major lake Road the access point is located between Crotch Lake and Farm Lake. A well known area for Bass and Pike fishing and a great takeout for those paddling the Opeongo River. Permits are available at the access point. Contact Us
18 Aylen Lake Located on Aylen Lake Road. The access is the public boat launch on the lake. Permits are availabale at the Aylen Lake Marina. Contact Us
19 Basin Lake Permits are available at Bonnechere Provincial Park and access is located opposite the park entrance on Turner's Road/Basin Lake Road. Three access points are located on the road at Basin Lake, Foy's Lake, and the Bonnechere River at the hydro transmission line. Contact Us
20 Mallard (Sec) Lake Located off Barron Canyon Road 2.5 kilometres from the park boundary this access is one of the hidden gems of Algonquin. Permits are available Sand Lake Gate. Contact Us
21 McManus Lake This access serves primarily as a takeout for Petewawa River trips. Travel downstream from McManus Lake is prohibited due to a military base. Permits can be obtained from the Sand Lake Gate. Contact Us
22 Grand Lake - Achray The Barron Canyon is accessed here. A beautiful and popular area in Algonqun Park, the Canyon offers spectacular views and many great campsites. Permits are available at Sand Lake Gate. Contact Us
23 Lake Travers A popular access to the Petewawa River, Lake Travers is located 55km past Sand Lake Gate, where you get your permits. Contact Us
24 Bissett Creek Road Located on Bissett Creek Road off Hwy 17. Permits are available at Yates Store in Stonecliffe. Contact Us
25 Wendigo Lake Located at the end of Wendigo Road, off Brent Road and accessed from Hwy 17. Permits are available at the permit office 0.5 km from Hwy 17 on Brent Road. Contact Us
26 North River Located 26.4 km along the Brent Road, North River is a quiet access point known for fishing. Permits are available at the permit office 0.5km along the Brent Road. Contact Us
27 Cedar Lake-Brent Located at the end of Brent Road, Cedar Lake offers unrivaled access to the Algonquin's north side. The Algonquin Outfitters Brent Store is there to serve you with canoe rentals and supplies. Permits can be obtained at the permit office located 0.5 km along Brent Road. Contact Us
28 Brain Lake A seldom used access point, Brain Lake is very quiet. Permits are available at the Mattawa Information Centre in the town of Mattawa. Contact Us
29 Kioshkokwi Lake-Kiosk Located at the end of Hwy 630 off Hwy 17, Kiosk offers great access to many popular routes. Permits are available at the access point. Contact Us
