Day Trip - Guided Algonquin Park
A guided Algonquin Park day trip is the best way to get
a taste for what canoe tripping in Algonquin Park is all
about. Our Oxtongue Lake store offers this one-day wilderness
experience in Algonquin Park, ideal for active people wanting
an enjoyable day in the out-of-doors or a sample of what
a longer canoe trip might be like. All canoeing and safety
equipment, lunch and transportation from our store to and
from Algonquin Park are provided. One of our experienced
canoe trip guides will introduce you to the experience of
canoe tripping in Algonquin Park
by showing you fundamental paddling, portaging and safety
skills. If you don't have the time, or you're not quite
sure your ready to sleep out under the stars with the wildlife
on a multi-day canoe trip, why not try a one-day guided
canoe trip with Algonquin Outfitters?
Participants should arrive at our Oxtongue
Lake base by 9am. Once the group is assembled, the guide
will review trip options and select a route suitable to
the abilities and interests of the party. The group will
then travel into Algonquin Park in one of our vehicles.

Departure Times
We offer guided day trips Monday to Friday throughout the
canoe season (mid May to Oct.), by advance reservation only.
You do not need to book any permits or make any extra arrangements
for canoe rentals. A minimum of four participants is required
to run a trip. If your group numbers less than four, there
are two options. If you are willing to pay the four-person
rate, we will run a trip with fewer people. If your schedule
is flexible, we can put you on a waiting list and try to
book you in with another group wanting a trip in the same
time period.
Included
A Kevlar canoe, paddles, safety equipment, life jackets,
Algonquin Park map for the group, lunch, transportation
to and from Algonquin Park and the services of one of our
experienced guides.

Park permit fees are extra and are paid by the client.
Reservations
Reservations are required for all guided trips, with a $25
per person deposit to reserve your trip, and should be made
at least four weeks in advance, in order to ensure guide
availability. This package is not available at the Huntsville,
Opeongo or Brent stores.
