Introduction

Algonquin Outfitters is an energetic organization with a long tradition of providing excellent products and services to canoe trippers in the Algonquin Park area. In recent years we have expanded the Retail side of our business with several new locations. We are always looking for people that share our passion for the outdoors.

Oxtongue Lake Store

Located on (you guessed it) Oxtongue Lake in Dwight, Ontario, just minutes from the West gate of Algonquin Park. This is the original location where AO started over 45 years ago, and primarily serves to outfitting group tripping into Algonquin Park. We are the area's largest outfitter, boasting a rental fleet of 350+ canoes/kayaks. We offer complete outfitting, rentals, as well as retail products for all your outdoor adventures. Accommodations are available as well.

In the summer we require staff for:

• retail
• reservations
• outfitting

Hiring notes:

The position requires an individual who is personable, organized, self motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision. Experience in canoe tripping, retail sales, computer data entry and an interest in the outdoors are preferred skills.

Season:

May – October
July - August

Opeongo Lake Store

Located on the largest lake within the Algonquin Park, along the Hwy 60 corridor. In addition to providing Outfitting, rentals, and retail, Opeongo runs a water taxi service to shuttle customers and their gear to any location on the lake.

In the summer we require staff for:

• retail
• reservations
• outfitting

Hiring notes:

The position requires an individual who is personable, organized, self motivated and able to work with a minimum of direct supervision. Experience in canoe tripping, good physical fitness and an interest in outdoor recreation are preferred skills.

Season

May – October
July - August

Retail Stores - Huntsville, Bracebridge, Haliburton, Minden

All these store are year-round except for Minden, and we're always looking for good staff that know about our products and love to use them. If this sounds like you, send us an e-mail.

Winter Alpine Shops - Valley Shop (Huntsville), and Pro Shop (Haliburton)

These are retail concessions we operate at both the Hidden Valley and Sir Sam's ski hills. If you're interested in retail and love to snowboard/ski, you should check this out!
